 The name
Sims and copiers have been synonymous in the copier industry since
1954. It all started in Chicago when
Sims provided a solution that was economical and easy for our customers to eliminate the use of carbon paper.
Sims entered into an agreement
with a German manufacture that developed what was known as the
Sims CopyCat. The CopyCat was the first fully automatic diffusion copier of the time.
Sims set the trend in the fifties!

Since this era, a lot has changed.
 Sims continued to set marketing trends. In the
sixties
Sims provided its customers an alternative solution to the high cost and patent protected “plain paper” market controlled by Xerox. This technology was called “The Electrostatic Process”. In the seventies
Sims again provided its customers with a cost effective alternative to Xerox with one of the first “Plain Paper” copiers.
From the seventies through the majority of the eighties
Sims was the leader, marketing the most innovative solutions of plain paper copiers in the country.
In the nineties
Sims formed a partnership with Gestetner, a Ricoh Company.
Sims once again was one of the first copier companies to bring digital technology to its customers. The Ricoh family provides #1 selling and most advanced reliable copier systems in the world.
Sims is Arizona’s only full line exclusive Gestetner dealer. Specializing in one product line guarantees our clients the finest in service, parts and supplies, as well as a knowledgeable and trained service and sales department.
 Today,
Sims is again changing the way in which our clients manage their office by providing affordable color multi-functional products that make our competitors black and white products obsolete.
